Welcome Back to Term 3
Thankyou to all parents that gave us some constructive feedback around how we can improve the teaching and learning in Team 3.
One of the key factors to come out of that survey is being able to communicate more effectively with our community. So we have decided to create a team blog to help to highlight key events and inform parents of the many activities that happen within our team.
I am truly blessed to be working with a committed group of professionals who are always trying to strive for excellence.Your feedback from the survey affirms the great work these teachers do.
Teachers will be handing out class newsletters in Week One to inform parents at the start of the new term about key events and activities that are up and coming.
BYOSD-Bring Your Own Specified Device
I am excited to announce that we are closer to inviting devices i.e. chromebooks and IPADS into Team 3. The first class that will have this opportunity will be Room 11. There will be some paperwork expected to be filled in by parents before the devices are allowed on site. Given time we hope to more devices and classes on board with our BYOSD initiative.
Mary MacKillop Leadership Programme
We are now in the design phase of creating our Mary MacKillop Badges which will include badges for Service, Sport, Special Character, Academic and School Life. If students earn all five badges they will be able to apply for the Mary MacKillop Excellence Badge.
If parents are able to support this process by writing yourself or getting other adults to write letters of commendation or supply certificates etc that would support these application would be appreciated.
This is all about providing an environment that encourages our students to engage in the process of being excellent servant leaders.
I will keep you updated re these developments.
Please continue to provide feedback to me on how we can best provide environment of learning that continues to grow and develop our students so that they can be confident and assured in their lifelong journey of learning.
Kind Regards
Marcus Oxenham
(Assistant Principal-Team 3 Leader)
