Fabulous News Keeps Coming In......

St Patrick's Cross Country 2016

Thankyou to all the mums and dads that came along on Friday the 19th August to support our School's Cross Country.

I was very impressed with the standard shown by all participants out on the course on Friday. Of particular note was the performance of our Year 7&8 students who are now preparing for the Catholic Schools Cross Country this week. We also have a smaller group attending the Nationals AIMS Cross Country event on the 4th September. I can see for some students the hours of preparation that is happening as they prepare for these events.

The team who will be representing us on Wednesday at the Catholic Interschools Cross Country will be named on Monday. A newsletter with an enclosed permission slip will be sent out. This will need to be returned on Tuesday.

I would like to wish this team all the very best for Wednesday.

NIWA Waikato Science Fair 2016

We have just received the exciting news that two of our students will  be attending the NIWA Waikato Science Fair Prizegiving on Tuesday 23rd August at the PWC building at the Waikato University.

Congratulations to Natasha Linton and Christine Lee we are all immensely proud of your fine achievement.

Speed Management Project

Last Friday we had a small delegation of students fly down to Wellington with Mrs Russ to present their Speed Project Inquiry Assignment to Councillors and Transport Officials. This work has been a focus of learning for Room 10 which has involved investigating, collecting, collating and summarizing their data around some of the transport issues around Rewi and Alexander Street. We look forward to Mrs Russ posting the outcomes of this inquiry on this page so you can see the impressive work that has been completed by these students.

Waikato GymSports Competition

Well done to our cheerleaders who placed second at the recent Waikato Gymsports Competition. I am sure this result will help to build the confidence needed as they now prepare for the AIMS Games in a couple of weeks.
